FORTNIGHTLY EMERGENCY FOOD HAMPERS

Feeding your family shouldn’t be hard, but sometimes it is. The costs of living have sky-rocketed and everyday items are not as affordable as they once were. Although life can at times be stressful, we want you to know how loved you are.

Our Fortnightly Emergency Food Hampers are available for those in our community needing a little extra help over the weekend. Hampers are available every second Friday afternoon for collection from our building at 116 Monaro Street from 1:15-2:15pm. Whilst collecting your hamper, enjoy a warm cuppa on us and a chat with our team!

There are no criteria to meet to access the hampers but numbers are limited each fortnight and those who would like to receive a food hamper, are required to register each fortnight, through our online registration form below. Registrations open on Thursdays, the day before hamper collection each fortnight.

FAQs

What is an Emergency Food Hamper?

Each hamper contains enough ingredients to make two meals. Ingredients may include 2 x meat options, pantry items and fresh produce.
It is important to note that hampers may change each fortnight, depending on food stock and availability.

Where does the money come from for the hampers then?

100% from our C3 Church Queanbeyan community. The emergency hampers rely solely on donations from our church community. We also receive donations of fresh produce from Woolworths Jerrabomberra to top up the hampers each fortnight. We receive no government funding for this program.

How much does it cost to provide one emergency hamper?

Each hamper costs approximately $30-35

How can I donate to this program?

You can make a donation and know that 100% of money donated will go to purchasing food for the emergency hampers. We take no admin fee.
